We had a great Holiday both in Chicago and visiting family back in Utah!
Trevor and I picked out Mayla's first Christmas ornament-- a baby shoe with her name and birth stats on it. We look forward to adding an ornament each year :)
It was a great addition to our little tree.
We tried hard to make it feel like Christmas in Chicago before leaving for Utah. We enjoyed making our own Christmas traditions including watching our favorite Christmas movies, enjoying our favorite Christmas treats and visiting downtown Chicago to see all the festivities. Here is Mayla snuggling with Mr. Snowman :)
I also did a 25 days of Christmas for Trevor with different Christmas activities and things each day.
We packed our bags and Mayla took her very first airplane flight to see family and friends. She did great!
We got to meet all of her aunts, uncles and cousins for the first time! Here she is with her cousin Jade--they are just six weeks apart.
We enjoyed playing with Brynlee and Jade each day! We miss them already.
Daddy flew in a week later and Mayla was so excited to see him, we sure missed him!
We loved participating in all the Christmas festivities with family including seeing the lights on Temple Square,
continuous Christmas shopping,
and of course family parties and festivities!
Mayla got to meet her great grandma, Grum-Grum for the first time. Here is four generations of 'Mae'. We all have the same middle name--passed down to the first girl in each family.
We had a great Christmas
Christmas Eve in our festive Christmas pajamas :)
Christmas morning
We enjoyed attending church that morning--it was a great Christmas!
Brandon and DeAnne and their family came to visit after Christmas and Mayla got to meet her cousin, Grayson, who is just one month older. They were so cute together!
Spending quality time with Bugga.
We also spent some fun time with friends. Here is Mayla with Alydia while visiting the Hortons and Richards.
Mayla also celebrated her first New Year's. So many firsts and we loved having Mayla with us this year!
We are now back home in Chicago getting back into the swing of things-- we had a great Holiday and enjoyed being with everyone! Can't wait to visit again soon!
