The Crazy Month of June

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind! Busy, busy, busy! Here is a quick update of what we have been up to:

We celebrated Trevor's 23rd Birthday with the Dahls at their beautiful home. We had a BBQ and then surprised Trevor with some dessert....
at the Melting Pot!

We traveled yet again to Logan to perform at a Stake Laurel Retreat. We have been to this particular venue before and always love visiting!

On June 16th we held the Nu Skin Force for Good Day, a tradition each year my department puts on for employees and their families to celebrate our non-profit organization, the Nu Skin Force for Good Foundation. Our purpose is to get involved in the community and to literally be a Force for Good throughout the world. Nu Skin offices around the world participated in their very own Force for Good days, volunteering, donating and helping in their own communities.

We began with a program to kick-off the event with involvement of community leaders and Nu Skin Executives. I even brought in some local storytellers to perform for us--a big hit for the kids!

While researching projects that we could participate in, I found the non-profit organization, Kids Cause, which provides any kind of necessities needed to succeed in school for students in the Alpine, Nebo and Provo school districts. We partnered with them and created our Force for Good Day around the theme of "Building Futures through Education."

Complete with a BBQ and snowcone vendor we had a huge turnout!
Employees and their families volunteered throughout the day to help assemble 7,500 school kits which were then donated to Kids Cause to be distributed throughout the schools. Children's winter clothing was also gathered and donated by Nu Skin employees in the month prior to the event.

It was a pleasure working with such great people on this project and one of my most 'rewarding' events I was able to plan. Though stressful and difficult at times, it was well worth it!

On June 24th my baby cousin was married! (okay she isn't a baby anymore but I think I will always consider her a little sister!) She was a beautiful bride!

We began hair at 4:30 a.m.! Long day---And she still looked gorgeous! I wouldn't consider myself a 'hairdresser' but it was fun being one for her big day!

Her fairytale wedding was just that--so beautiful and so perfect!

And my cute Aunt, Kim, always seen with her camera--one of her many talents!

Simple Grace had the opportunity to perform at Concert's on the Hill at Cherry Hill. This was one of our first places we were invited to perform when we started the group and it has been a tradition ever since.

We ended the month with a sponsorship that Nu Skin did hosting bloggers attending a conference in Park City. Our purpose was to introduce the blogging world to some of our great products and business. Complete with Galvanic Spa facial demos, product displays and yummy food we had a good turn out!

With all that said -- we made it through the crazy month of June. Bring on July!
