8 months old

Mayla is 8 months old today!  Here are a few facts about our cute little one:

1. She is one happy little girl.  She laughs and smiles all day long and she makes her mommy and daddy laugh every single day.  She has a lot of personality and her smile is definitely contagious.

 2. She has learned to smile for the camera.  As soon as the camera comes out she is looking our way and grinning big!  (Hence why I posted so many of the same photos, they were all too cute I couldn't choose!)

 3.  She rolls all over to get to where she needs to be.  She can't quite crawl yet but she is very close!

 4. Mayla is officially sleeping through the night--it is wonderful!  She goes down around 7:30 p.m. and wakes up sometime between 6:30 - 7:30 a.m.  Traveling is a different story....

 5.  She has two bottom teeth that make up her cute little grin and she is a great eater!  She loves all kinds of baby food, especially anything she can feed herself.  She also loves water!

 6.  She is a flirt.  Everywhere we go she makes eye contact with those around us and smiles and laughs.  EVERYONE stops me because she is so cute.  Grocery shopping and any kind of errand takes twice as long these days.

 7.  She gleefully yells every day for a good period of time.  I think it is her way of communicating- it is pretty funny.  On Sunday she saw a two year old boy, she yelled at him, he yelled back and she made sure to yell louder and then give a big smile... and yes this was all during the sacrament.

8.  Mayla is a social butterfly.  As long as people are around within eye view she is happy as can be.  If you leave the room, she beside herself.

9.  She hates going down for naps.  She puts up a big fuss before each nap time because she does not want to be separated from the crowd and what is going on.  She typically takes really quick naps but again she is sleep through the night so I can't complain!

10.  She loves her daddy.  Everytime he gets home from work she grins big and starts rocking up and down to try and get him to pick her up and play with her.

11.  She loves being outside.  The weather has been so nice here so we end up outside almost everyday.  She loves looking at everything around her.

12.  She loves watching little kids and other babies.  While mom goes to aerobics on Wednesdays she sits and plays with all the other little kids--she is in heaven.

We can't get enough of this sweet little girl!
